Be cautious of your steps
Be aware of your movement
Allow your heart to be free
Understand, you've got things to learn
But stay with me, and you wont get burned
I have always had a burning desire
Let me stand next to your FIRE
Jimi Hendrix 1967.
Fire Walking has been practiced by many cultures since before recorded history.
Fire Walking is one of the oldest motivational and transformative tools around, history shows us ancient tribes and peoples walked across burning coals, molten lava and danced on hot rocks.
Fire Walking gives you the tools to empower your life allowing you to play, work, live and love, allowing you to embrace lifes magical moments .
It serves as an unforgettable demonstration of human potential and a way of connecting with the living consciousness of the Earth.
Fire Walking can be used as a team building excersise, for personal development, celebrating a special event or just for fun.
Through Fire walking you will uncover your potential and face your limiting beliefs giving you the tools to break through all the negative thought patterns that exist within you.
One of the most powerful parts of the fire walk is when you make the decision to walk or not, whether you dance on the fire or hold the space for others to dance the medicine from the fire will happen and healing will take place, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

SWEAT LODGE
Our beautiful Red Robin lodge
Sweat Lodges have been around for thousands of years in many indigenous cultures. The Native American sweat lodge is the one we are most familiar with, similar ceremonies and structures are still used throughout the world by different cultures. There is a celtic sweat lodge tradition that is still used today, there are archeological evidence of sweat lodge ceremonies in Iceland and Europe.
The Native ritual is used for a number of different reasons, for healing the physical, mental and spiritual body for purification, to be connected to spirit giving them access to guidance with their spirit guides and spirit animals, a place to contemplate lifes changes, allowing personal growth and connecting with the elements.
The Sweat Lodge ceremony has four rounds, one for each direction, North, South, East and West. Before the ceremony begins the Leader of the lodge calls in the spirits of each direction, giving the participants the opportunity to call to the spirits for help, guidance and healing. Each person in turn talks to the spirits, holding a talking stick and a rattle while the other participants hold a space of silence, passing the stick and rattle to their brother or sister sitting next to them once their prayers are complete.
When prayers are being said in the sweat lodge the Sweat Leader pours water over red hot rocks that are brought in by the Keeper of the Fire and placed in a pit in the centre of the lodge, this creates the purifying steam.
The Keeper of the Fire stays with the fire from the moment it is built to the end of the ceremony, this may last 6 or more hours, when the fire is alight the Keeper is the only one allowed to cross over the line between the fire and the entrance to the sweat lodge, when the fire is alight there is an energetic line that flows from the fire to the centre of the pit inside the lodge, if a person crosses the line no harm will come to them they just step back and appologise.
A sweat lodge can last from 3 to 5 hours depending on the size of the group and the prayers, each sweat lodge is different to the last.
Great care is taken when the person leaves the sweat lodge as they have been through a very beautiful healing process they emerge like a baby from the womb of its mother, almost seeing for the first time.
After the ceremony the people take great care of each other supporting them in what ever way is needed. After the lodge has ended all the participants head off for a rest and a well earned feast which is shared with the spirits, two of the group go to the sweat site and offer the same food we eat to the spirits who joined us for the ceremony.
This is one of my favourite rituals .
There are many stories about how the sweat lodge began.
The Sioux, for example, see the interior of the the sweat lodge as representing the womb of the Mother Earth, its darkness as human ignorance, the hot stones as the coming of life and the hissing steam as the creative force of the universe being activated. The entrance faces East, source of life and power, dawn of wisdom, while the fire heating rocks is the undying light of the world, eternity..
